  7. 5I met her in her dad's butchers shop,
  8. 5Watched her cut-that pork chop,
  9. 5"What can I do for you ?", she asked,
  10. 5I told her,
  11. 5She couldn't believe it - just stood and gasped,
  12. 5"You've got a nerve", she told me,
  13. 5"But your kinda cute, so I'll agree".
  14. 5
  15. 5Our first date was on Strawberry Point,
  16. 5We sat on the grass and shared a joint,
  17. 5Saw the clouds roll above our heads,
  18. 5She opened her mouth, and then she said,
  19. 5"Lets go for an evening swim in the bay"
  20. 5"I haven't got a costume", she heard me say,
  21. 5In disapoinment I gave a sigh,
  22. 5She whispered "That's no matter, neither have I".

  24. 5We dived off a rock, our clothes on the beach,
  25. 5I chased her in the waves, she was nearly in reach,
  26. 5When I'd caught her, she became mine,
  27. 5Standing in the water, she looked real fine,
  28. 5I felt I was living on the edge of time,
  29. 5She put her arms round me,
  30. 5And we went down into the sea.

  32. 54 am I awoke on a dune,
  33. 5I saw her softly lit, in the pale moon,
  34. 5Like an angel, curled up in the sand,
  35. 5I put out my fingers, to hold her hand,
  36. 5She glanced slowly - smiled - went back to sleep,
  37. 5I had to wake her, 
  38. 5our clothes were still in a heap,
  39. 5
  40. 5We dressed and watched the sun rise,
  41. 5After a long, drawn out kiss we said our goodbyes,
  42. 5I told her "I want to see you again",
  43. 5She thought for a moment and asked "When ?"
  44. 5I Looked deep into her hazy brown eyes,
  45. 5Placed my hands apon her thighs,
  46. 5She put on her dress, I helped with the ties,
  47. 5"Always girl, I need you,
  48. 5We'll be a couple, us two",
  49. 5She smiled - nodded her pretty face,
  50. 5Started running home,
  51. 5Should I give chase?
  52. 5I just lay in the dust, still half bare,
  53. 5And pictured myself with oh sweet Claire.
